COSTCO AND DORA-DOG

The Boneheaded Bonehead

Yesterday, Mary and I went on a journey to Costco to pick up a few supplies.  A trip to Costco is a rare event for me, but even I could tell that we are living in abnormal times.  It was interesting to wander through the store, along with the very few others who were there at the time.
Some had masks on, others did not. But from my point of view, it seemed like a shop full of zombie-like humans walking from one location to another.  I was happy when we finally checked out and headed back to the car.  I forgot to mention that when we first entered the store, the very first item we were confronted with was a huge display of Corona beer.  It made me wonder out loud if the store manager has some weird sense of humour, or whether it was just a coincidence?

Dora-dog was happy to see us return to the car, and before long we were on our way home, to spend another day in these very strange times.  Thankfully, Dora keeps the two of us amused, as can be seen in the photo at the top of the page.  For her, it's just another day.  Nothing has changed in her world.  As long as she has food to eat, water to drink, and a human to play with,  she seems to be very content.  She can teach us all a lesson, and that is,  to live in the moment.

Of course, after a play-filled day, Dora-dog is ready to have a nap, in order to restore her energy for the next round of whatever it is we get up to, whether it's playing with her dog toys, or going for a long walk.

Resting, in anticipation of the next round of play.

grateful for every breath,

Paul
